What to do when a stranger friends you on Facebook

I HAVE been receiving quite a number of friend requests lately from strangers on Facebook.
The thing about these requests is that people simply do not explain who they are anymore and what their intention is. Okay, maybe the second part is a duh; obviously they want to be your friend.
But come on! It’s annoying when I have to MESSAGE THEM, asking if we had ever met and it boils me when they don’t reply! A few of these strangers, I found out, had thousands of friends on their Facebook profile.
Hmmm this article did have several tips on how to handle on strangers request to be your friends on facebook maybe I can add a few more.
- To get rid of creepy friends on facebook, go to your facebook and browse your friends…click the X on friends you don’t want….ta dah!
- Avoid placing cheesy status updates on Facebook that sounds similar to body parts or some medical terms…or anything that offends people.
- What’s with people who use ellipses … throughout … their emails? …. dot dot dot dot dot…-_- Welcome to the new internet crazed favorite way to PAUSE while typing… or to show the imaginary bird flying pass while they pause while they are writing their facebook status…or simply a way to simulate a real conversation where the person who wrote the words actually pause to think before writing the next line…yeah…
- Remember by adding some strangers into your friend list, they can send messages or poke your friends as well hence be selective on which strangers you add in especially you are a famous female blogger….err…yah.
- Do you open your facebook and see 450 notices and 1000 of applications recommendations or invites? Well, go to twitter instead.
- Say NO to fake facebook pages by ignoring facebook totally.
- Do your friends’ really reply back from facebook? if not…go twitter and sms them about twitter and eventually they will get it.

Well, I think facebook is going to be so dated when compared to real time communication such as twitter where you can catch up with friends or even celebrities such as astronauts who tweets literary from outer space! Now all major news network is on Twitter that brings you the latest and juiciest news where you get in REAL TIME.
What’s up with facebook that feed you dated information and strange weirdos who add you as friends?
For those people who spam your twitter….especially those trying to sell stuff or get rich quick MLM…the easiest is to “Un-follow” and you won’t get to be constantly spammed by them!
Twitter is the real deal, nothing so complicated just reply, re-tweet and post your anything you think is interesting and you may have tons of people searching for keywords such as “Startrek” that will “follow you” if you are a Trekkie or have interesting reviews about the movie.
Try searching for your country name to add people who recently talks about your country! You be surprise that there are “trends” keywords that will influence the world!!
I don’t like those people who tried to talk about things with the popular “trends” keywords but actually talking about other things like their business or other stuff…hence don’t do that. (e.g. I watched wolverine #startrek )
@name (is when you reply to a person, @name will come out and you will get more information if you click on the @name)
#text (is an unofficial channel that people use to identify what they are talking about e.g. #Startrek is a great movie!)
Some people does Follow Friday which in short “FF” that recommends interesting people to follow by copy and pasting their names in such a format @name1, @name2, @name3 and etc so that people under your followers can choose to follow them or not.
There are many celebrities are using twitter to talk to fans or even get feedbacks from customers, movie reivews on twitters can get the “good and bad” comments in real time and you will feel the sense of global community getting nearer to you!
Yes, you can actually see famous people such as Anorld to post his latest message on twitter or even developers on their latest updates on their software or iPhone rumors.
There are so many things you can get from twitters that you can build careers from twitters (of course be a info providers and sometimes be a bit of wacky).
