According to The Straits Times:

HOSPITALS have started vaccinating their front line staff against the seasonal flu.The vaccination is unlikely to give much protection against the new influenza A H1N1 strain, but it will stop ‘background noise’, or undue worry caused by them catching a normal flu.

This is especially since Singapore is heading into its usual mid-year flu peak. About 600 people die of the seasonal flu here each year.

- This article shows an alarming fact that even without H1N1 a.k.a. Swine Flu, seasonal flu already kills 600 in Singapore every year?? Is this a typo? Can anyone clarify this news article?

This probably means seasonal flu can already kills the weak easily and H1N1 probably as strong at seasonal flu or MUCH MUCH Worse!
