The above photos are taken at Bukit Batok MRT and Bukit Gombak MRT stations and the bicycle docking points are clearly inadequate as bicycle are seen parking without a proper secure point for them. In today’s transportation system, bicycle had becomes more and more important in many people’s lives to get around the estate cheaply.

The NTUC bicycle rental are seldom utilized as it’s poorly maintain as shown in the photos below taken at Bukit Batok Mrt Station.

With crude oil prices skyrocketing to near $140 today, I can certainly bet more people will move towards park “bicycle” and ride MRT instead of taking bus or driving privately owned vehicles.

I hereby propose a bigger investment into a new industry for bicycle support stations with pressure valve and repair stations along path ways and much bigger docking stations accommodate more bicycles in anticipation of more population of cost saving minded citizens migrating to commute to work at a more economical way.

The problem is already here, let’s start making it happen. Talk to your local minister today for recommendation for change otherwise future hike in transportation cost will be much harder to endure.
