Over 11,000 illegal DVDs, VCDs seized in islandwide raid

SINGAPORE: Police have seized over 11,000 illegal DVDs and VCDs in an islandwide raid.
They have also arrested 13 Chinese nationals, seven of whom are believed to be immigration offenders as well.
Police smashed the syndicate, which is said to be involved in peddling uncensored and uncertified films.
The raids on Thursday led police to several locations, including a unit in Serangoon Road and Macpherson Green condominium.
Besides the illegal discs, police also seized cash amounting to over S$3,000 and items such as CD burners and printers.
All 13 suspects will be charged in court on Saturday
- Haha idiots piracy…they are way back dated! Nobody is going to buy those pirated CDs Anyway! -_-|| Singaporeans are smart and clever!! Don’t need those cheapo plastic CDs that sometimes got virus or spywares…..haha…some more games nowadays are online version need originals and softwares are free download from download.com (samples), and most of the stuff can be found online…why bother with pirated cds/dvds?? Hmm
