Taliban Deadline for Hostages Passes

According to AsiaOne News:

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A purported Taliban deadline for the lives of 22 South Korean hostages passed with no word on the captives’ fate Monday, and an Afghan governor pleaded with the militants to give negotiations more time.

Qari Yousef Ahmadi, who claims to speak for the Taliban, said midday Monday was the militants’ latest deadline to kill one or more of the hostages if 23 Taliban prisoners weren’t released from Afghan jails. See more at AsiaOne News!!

- Looks like the time has come and gone, what will happen to the 22 South Korean!?? Pray hard!

    Why not just send in the special forces of Delta force to rescue the hostages. I thought the US are good in all this kind of operations.

    Both Ideas might work but depends on luck also…

    1. John’s special force might miss kill the hostages. They can dress them like a Taliban masked faced with fake guns.

    2. Freeing some freedom fighters invoke two responses, firstly the terrorist will think world will negotiate with terrorist and always get what they demand…just get MORE hostages. Second is they will demand more things after the freedom fighter had been freed…like 1 billion dollars used cash or unmarked gold bars. haha

    This is a tricky situation need proper handling…I think the media is helping the terrorist a lot.

    This eventually will caused a wipe out of Taliban group…by whoever are involved.

    (hmmm does that sound like a hidden plot? What if this Taliban are not really Taliban…but just someone pretend to be…and make an international scene so that someone powerful like USA have the “excuse” to take the Taliban out…misdirection…hmm) Anyway I am not going to speculate just pray for the safety of the Korean hostages!

    I am a free thinker…some of my friends are Christian…but regardless of religion we should adopt the heart of forgiveness and should not condemn the whole race of Taliban.

    Your statement should say….

    “The Talibans who had committed the crime of taking hostages and murdering people for selfish causes should be punished! The rest of the Taliban should help the USA or Koreans to give information to ensure the safety of the remaining hostages! Damn the criminals!”

    I am a free thinker…some of my friends are Christian…but regardless of religion we should adopt the heart of forgiveness and should not condemn the whole race of Taliban.Your statement should say….”The Talibans who had committed the crime of taking hostages and murdering people for selfish causes should be punished!     I did not condemn the Taliban but what they claim they are workers of God are totally rubbish. If your family yourself are in that situation, forgiveness is not the first thing that will come to your mind. As a Korean, I feel the pain of our people but I don’t the the same goes out to Singporeans

    There are several disaster that most don’t even remember like the Collapse of the whole great world hotel…killing plenty.

    The airplane crashed…I cannot remember the plane already…which airlines.

    Pain is a natural response and I feel the same way as you…now it’s time to mourn.
