19-year-old teen slashed to death in Down Town East
According to StraitsTimes & ChannelnewsAsia:
A 19-year-old youth repeatedly hacked by a group of youths in full view of a crowd died in hospital hours later. The violent attack and subsequent attempt by the youth and his friends to flee left a 500m long trail of blood at the Pasir Ris resort and amusement park.
No one has been arrested and police have classified the case as murder.
Darren Ng Wei Jie was with two friends when they got into a ‘staring incident’ with a group of about 10 teenagers. Witnesses The Straits Times spoke to said the encounter started with angry words, but this descended into a punch-fest on the lawn just outside fast-food restaurant MacDonald’s.
The dead youth is believed to have been in his third year at Republic Polytechnic and also in its water polo team. Anyone with information may call the police at 1800-255-0000.
This is a horrible incident and unnecessary death of a 19-Year-Old!! I happen to know the neighbor of the victim & it’s seems that the death hit hard on the family of the victim.
My condolence to the victim’s family, let’s pray for a speedy capture of the gangsters who slashed the victim to death!
Singapore seems to had degenerate into chaos recently with many crimes such as slashing murders of long hair females to full fledge gang fights!
To all parents in Singapore, kindly do tell your kids don’t stare at groups of kids with tattoos and don’t provoke anyone.
I think it’s about time for vigilantist now, not to attack the gang when you see them but VIDEO them in you iPhone 4 and post it in Youtube anyone that is suspected to belong to this 10 teen gangster with tattoo?
Post in twitter if possible with #SGCRIMEWATCH if possible.
Update:
- Murder suspect Mr. Ng now in ICU
- Channel 8 News revealed 3 murder suspects faces!
- 3 Men charged with murder
The three charged are 21-year-old Tang Jia Min, 20-year-old Ho Wui Ming and 19-year-old Chen Wei Zhen.
In Hardwarezone forum, I found some people who have access to the suspected murderers’ facebook posted some photographs of them taken in group.
Well, the police seems to be seeking more public support to get the rest of the suspects who participate in the murder at Down Town East.
The above photograph shows many of them are tattooed and if this photograph is taken from facebook and posted in forums like Hardwarezone forum.
I think in the current social networked world, it’s almost like very easy to catch suspects that have photographs loaded all over facebook and shared in forums.
The future is bright I think, future is bright.
Parents do take notes of their kid’s facebook profile & their tweets in twitter so that you can understand your kids and their mind.
