I here by endorse this petition for National Petition for Fairer Transportation Fares started by the 10 Singaporeans on the website theonlinecitizen.com.
Well, I had received a message from Bernard Chen & Kamilul Ashraf to help endorse this petition and they wish very much to change the status-quo.
My previous article about the unfair fares for students studying in the local polytechnics had generated some irks and cheers from many directions and I myself as a locally born Singaporean who used to be a Ngee Ann Poly students feels greatly for them.
Singapore now needs some kind of change for the better but this petition may be the very first step for a brand new future for our next generation.
I do admire the courage of these 10 young Singaporeans who started this petition and not fearing any kinds of repercussion that the older generation had always whispered about.
In the brand new world of the internet, we can gather more people to support this petition regardless if you are a polytechnic student or not…if we can achieve some kind of results from this petition…then anything is possible.
However, I do not condone any illegal protest that involve violence, damages to property, loss of lives or commit any crimes against humanity.
The old history of the Singapore bus riots can come back to hunt us eventually if we go down that lane.
If this petition goes down well, we can easily vote someone out of office in the next election if we get enough people to fight against unfairness or any injustice in our current social and political obsolete system.
Brand new model will have to come in and sustain our country in a brand new system, to make this country prosper beyond our imagination instead of feeling of fear of the retrenchment axe to fall on the people or worry about future sustainability of the economy and life in this small little red dot on the world map call Singapore.
Let’s make this work and participate on this petition and leave no regrets after that, we should start the ball rolling and get more people to change what they feel is unfair and make it right.
Click on the link on the image and fill up the form as truthfully as possible and hopefully we can make the people in power tremble with fear enough to change the system or get elected OUT of the political arena of power.
