How S’pore residents can be more responsible & vigilant to fight H1N1
According to Channelnewsasia:
Mr Khaw said:
“But we can take comfort that so far the illness remains mild. So it doesn’t mean that we should be careless about it. We should continue to be vigilant. But it also means that we don’t have to be so worried.”
This sentence simply just means, be careful but don’t panic or the whole Singapore will get infected because the panic will cause serious shortages of essential items such as mask, hand sanitizers and thermometers.
Mr Khaw said:
“If you have just been travelling, and you come back and you have the symptom, please call 993. It is very important. Don’t go around shopping or go to crowded clinics. Then you’ll be infecting many patients there. Call 993 and we’ll bring you to the hospital and check, if it is this virus. If it is, then we will treat you. And there are effective treatment.”
If you got flu or fever, go to hospital and stay for 7 days…hopefully it’s covered by CPF or subsidized by your insurance. By the way, anyone knows if H1N1 Infection a.k.a. Swine Flu is claimable by Insurance? If you know, share with us what is the terms & conditions. (Insurance agents…hint hint..put some information at the comments)
