Singapore men have low quality sperm

According to AsiaOne News:

The sperm quality of Singapore men is low and lags far behind international standards, reported Shin Min Daily News.

This is according to Dr Yu Su Ling, a senior consultant in Singapore General Hospital’s (SGH) department of obstetrics and gynaecology. No more than 5 per cent of men in Singapore will meet those standards, said Dr Yu, who is also the head of the hospital’s Centre for Assisted Reproduction.

Hahhahaha, these commandos sperm are rare find in Singapore? I like to report on the contrary, I believe this “report” or “finding” is extremely “presumptions” and only basing on a small sample of Singapore men who obviously wanted to find out if their sperm can make healthy babies hence donating their “commandos” to be under the microscope for “free”.

I have a couple of friends who were married last few years and most of them managed to get to be a father if they had planned for it without problems!

Seriously, after 21 years since the centre was set up in 1988, only 60 men have gone forward to donate sperm and they managed to come out with the 5% out of 60 people who had donated have “HIGH Quality” sperm? That is SUPER LOW SAMPLE SIZE to declare that “SINGAPORE” men have low quality sperm!

I think the ministers or health organization are scratching their heads on how to make more local babies to solve the future graying population problems and by saying that only 5% Singapore Men have high quality sperm is to do the following.

  1. Using reverse phycology to boost the pride of Singapore Men to seed more women
  2. Donate their seeds
  3. Have sex more often
  4. Fool around more
  5. Less condoms?
  6. Force men to research on healthy living for stronger “commandos”

However, the people in power should realize that this might be a fruitless exercise to boost the local baby population.

Let’s list out the possible problems for Singapore men to make more babies.

  1. Not many are married because they have fear of
    - unstable job or/and unstable income
    - lack of interesting hang out to find a suitable place to find “the right one”
  2. Not many want to have babies because
    - unable to look after the child while both parents need to work long hours
    - fear of high cost of future education cost for child
    - fear of lost of “freedom” to build career or business
    - fear of high cost of living due to inflation
  3. Not many are able to make babies because
    - Unhealthy diets, lifestyle, stress, pressure and a combination of all of them.
    - They don’t plan for one and wear protection
    - Not enough time for sex

Wacky Suggestions by me

  1. 5 days work wee is the right move but 4 1/2 day work week will work even better with staggered shifts but must not have problems with working productivity.
  2. Compulsory Friendship day to have one day per month to mingle with people of the opposite sex organized by company level or inter-company level, only singles are eligible to attend and those who refused need to have either a target already or already attached. Target girl need to sign a letter of “excuse” to give to the guy who like her to avoid being forced to join this friendship day.
  3. Make more “make out” places that have romantic restaurant, cubicle car parks,  high rise star gazing platform, love hotels, baby making hotels.
  4. Subsidize child upbringing cost by giving free child care or free maid, 1/2 price education, cheaper baby food, free emergency baby courier services and more.
  5. Donation of sperm with free gifts by government…and a free medical check up.
  6. Reality TV show to interview people on the streets to ask them to name someone they love or like but not attached yet.
  7. Lower love related “contents” censorship on public media & videos
  8. Government to build a economic safety net for new parents who have children age 0 to 21 and make sure these parents have a “welfare” funds available if in need such as retrenchment, inability to work due to illnesses or disability.
