Suicide 101 For Those Depressed Singaporeans

This post is dedicated to those depressed with life and may need a 2nd chance in life.

I found a video that is very touching and may give you some insight to life it self.

The last time I wrote about suicide…I mentioned the following and I will repeat once more.

Identify the clues if your friend or family members are depressed. Sometimes a little talk and walk with them may help them very much, advice them towards the light and try not to order them around.

For those whom you don’t know how to help, call the help line 1800-2214444 and seek more solutions for your love ones!

After all the sad video you watched….it’s time for some laughter….go to FAILBLOG.ORG to laugh out loud…to relief some stress!!

I am not exactly the best person to talk about combat addiction. I myself is addicted to caffeine and unable to get rid of it…

But I managed to stop drinking red bull for 2 days which I was previously addicted to it.

My personal way to combat addiction is to find distractions or acceptable alternatives.

It's easier said then done…but probably I can find some kind of video out there to suggest a solution about quitting gambling.

I personally don't gamble since my last 4D win of $7000 first price.

I had realized that once I won, 1/2 of the money goes back to gambling and the other half was spent without thinking…and ALL the money was gone in 2 months.

My mother won TOTO once getting 10k but lost it totally on gambling ships & returning debts…in one month.

Then using simple maths to calculate the amount of money spent daily weekly on gambling…I realized if I put all those money that people gamble…turns out to be a fortune in 5 years time!!

Then I realized the SURE WIN GAMBLE is to put the money in a coin box…a dollar at a time.

I haven't stick a sticker on it saying it's a "SURE WIN" TOTO on the saving box…but I know I already WON by putting aside money…

It's hard to talk to them in the first place…but try to tell them the maths…hehe

One can be comforted to be supported by their love ones.

Say…"I support your gamble but only on SURE WIN GAMBLE" show the coin box…hehe

You can also join in the coin box contribution too.

Thanks for the advice Simon. It’s good that you don’t gamble. It’s good to save that money that you want to spend on gambling and it can add up to quite a huge amount. You can advise your mother not to gamble so much too.

Serena, instead of gambling, can ask your husband to learn trading. You just need a good PC with a fast internet connection.

Go to this website http://www.poems.com.sg/ to learn more about trading.

Isn’t that gambling too ? We don’t have money to buy a PC.

Unfortunately we all take risk in everything we do…gambling is a scam…trading require more focus and education to really succeed.

I do feel trading may be a gamble if they put money for long term but for those adhoc traders who capture the moment without greed…may stand to earn some small profits.

Unfortunately…not everyone can understand what is trading or even able to do it easily without inccurring heavy losses.

I hence do not recommend anyone to do it unless they fit the cateria of the following

    1. Not Greedy
    2. Able to trade without fear & Anxiety
    3. Calm
    4. Able to part USD2.5k into trading
    5. Have Computer and fast internet connection
    6. Don't mind losing everything.
