Your Say, Your News, Your Complains!

You are what you eat

According to AsiaOne News:

Think twice before you reach for that can of fizzy drink. It is not just about your waistline. Think about the lines on your face too. That is because carbonated drinks can age you, nutritionists say.

Other well-loved foods like pastries, potato chips, sausages, coffee, red meat, white rice and bread can also cause premature ageing.

The reason? Most of these foods are high in fat or sugar, which are not healthy for the body, said Ms Magdalin Cheong, chief dietitian and senior manager of Dietetic and Food Services at Changi General Hospital.

- Fear tactics got “REBOUNDED”!! Yes, after reading this article…I actually crave for more sugary snacks like donuts & coffee!!

The news articles that promote “healthy diet” should not use too much keywords that contains addictive items that people should avoid…Google use that technology to detect the number of words in an article and pull out relevant advertisements and you can roughly guess what kind of advertisement will be displayed.

Ok, times for TIPS…

I remember once someone told me that “healthy food’ should taste WONDERFUL compared to unhealthy food….however everywhere I look…it’s all unhealthy food…hmm

What’s wrong with the eateries or coffee shops in Singapore? NO HEALTHY FOOD!?

There are some really “popular” healthy food that cost a bomb such as “ORGANIC” food that supposedly grown without pesticides or artificial fertilizers but not common in normal coffee shops or food courts.

VEGETABLES, FISH, FRUITS and many things colorful should be “advised” as healthy food…

But in the future, these food will go through multiple hands for processing and storing until things such as MELAMINE contamination in milk occur due to “fraud” or “cost cutting” measures by desperate business owners.

Anything that contains NON-Artificial chemicals or ingredients should be great but it will be impossible to get hold of these food unless you live in a farm.

Nowadays even fruits gone through artificial DNA modification to grow bigger & more tastier versions…even some fish glow in the dark…

So, my suggestion is eat what you feel is “HEALTHY” and avoid food with high fat, high carbohydrates such as donuts, rice, noodles…Indian Rojak.. (haha)

However, life is very short…so give yourself a treat once in a blue mood so that life won’t be miserable…imagine going to coffee shop and only can eat fruits…or soup only…?

Well, you can buy healthy food and cook yourselves but it’s harder for most people to find time to cook at home…very rare species.

Give any feedback you like :)
