According to AsiaOne:

A SECRETARY accidentally bit off the penis of her employer while giving him oral sex in a car.

Sin Chew Daily and China Press reported yesterday that while the 30-year-old woman was performing oral sex on the man, the car was hit by a reversing van.

The impact of the crash, China Press reported, caused the woman to bite off her lover’s organ.

The daily reported that the incident occurred in a Singapore park where the couple met after work.

This is simply horrifying for for the secretary!! Really Painful for the guy!

There are several lessons to be learn from this unfortunate incident!

Never make out in a car

Always get a room

Never be unfaithfu

Watch out for spouse’s hired Private Investigator!

Watch out for that reversing van!

This guy will probably have to self quarantine himself for 30 days because the whole world will know it’s him!! Why?

He is walking funny…LOL!!

For the secretary & guy, kindly know your limits lah…affairs so openly you may harm the family of both sides.

HER teddy bear has been her only confidante, the only one privy to her thoughts and feelings on the horrific incident in which she lost a big toe.

The 4-year-old has been so traumatised by the incident that she has refused to speak to anyone – including her parents – about what happened that day.

On 20 Sep, her shoe became trapped in a moving escalator at The Furniture Mall at Beach Road. To her parents’ horror, the shoe was mangled and the big toe on her left foot was ripped off.

Aware of ‘the pain and sadness’ this has caused her parents, the little girl has been putting on a brave front and even tells them to ‘stop it’ when she overhears them talking about the incident.

The couple and their daughter were at the mall that Saturday to shop for a magazine rack when they got onto an escalator on the second storey at about 4.15pm. The girl stood alone on one of the steps, in between her mother in front and Mr Kunio behind her.

While they were about midway up the escalator, the girl turned to speak to him. That was when her left foot got trapped.

She screamed and called out in Japanese: ‘Ma! Pain!’

Mrs Kunio noticed that her daughter’s legs were twisted in an awkward position and shouted to her husband: ‘Her leg!’

Mr Kunio lifted her up, not realising her foot was trapped, and it caused her big toe to be ripped off. Her left sock and shoe – a Crocs rubber clog – remained stuck in the escalator. All this while, the escalator kept moving.

Said Mr Kunio through an interpreter: ‘If only the escalator had stopped moving, I might have realised that something was wrong and I wouldn’t have carried her up.’

Read the full article at AsiaOne News

- This is another rubber shoes accident in a string of rubber shoes accidents…at Singapore escalators! I believe this call for a case of total ban of these kinds of shoes at escalators…hee

Problems

Children wearing rubber shoes get their toes ripped off.

Many people from other countries that comes to Singapore don’t know the history of rubber clogs accidents in Singapore.

No Warning.

Some escalators are not upgraded with “hair brush” at the sides to prevent such accidents.

Solutions Suggested.

Children don’t wear rubber shoes when go shopping, get a spare sandles/shoes in the back pack.

Put up brochures or books at locations that have escalators and do inform all tourist who wear these rubber shoes at tourist location…with news articles like these in the warning signs.

Escalators should already put up warning signs about RUBBER SHOES and have some kind of emergency stop button at clear locations.

Upgrade all escalators and penalize buildings management that don’t.

Teach kids at school about such dangers.

This complain cannot be joked about haha…so take care of your kids and your own toes!!

SINGAPORE (AFP) – A US nuclear-powered submarine could have leaked radioactive water during a Singapore stop in September 2006, Singapore’s Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean said Monday.

Speaking in parliament, Teo said the United States informed Singapore this month that the USS Houston had been leaking trace amounts of radioactive water since June 2006.

“This suggested that the USS Houston could have been leaking during her port call at Changi Naval Base in September 2006,” Teo said in response to a parliamentary question.

- WHAT??? Leaking trace amount of radioactive water in 2006???? I wondered if the fishes glows in the dark?? haha…

Ok, seriously this is real shitty event happening in our little small country Singapore… For such a big event to be “exposed” now after 2 whole years is to reduce “panic”? The news article clearly states that the leak in radioactive material “was too small to pose any risk to public health“.

However, radiation leak is very serious issue. The study by United States over health hazards caused by leaking of radiation is not very complete only to state that “Some people who live near the plants contend that their communities suffered unusual numbers of cancers and birth defects” and It has been estimated that as little as five rads of penetrating X-ray or gamma radiation to the whole body can lead to leukemia in some particularly susceptible people. But that relatively modest dose has no detectable long-term effect on many others.

The article did not mention how much radiation was leaked and hence I cannot easily find more information about how much effects will it affect on the fishes in the sea and people who eat the fishes from affected areas.

If the leaked amount from the “nuclear submarine” is negligible then it would be safely say that your microwave oven might be even more dangerous…but if it’s “UNKNOWN” quantity since it’s only just revealed the leak now and it had leaked way back in 2006…the radioactive “leakage” might had been washed away by the sea and the level of radiation leak are unmeasurable by now.

Well, just like old mistakes like escaped terrorist…don’t expect any head to roll in this “non-event” that potentially wipe out the whole Singapore in one big fallout from nuclear radiation leakage and convert our small little red dot into urban wasteland similar to the Chernobyl disaster.

It’s still chilling to read the article that we could had been dead way back in 2006…or worst evacuated forcefully from our homes to flee from radiation leakage.

It’s the past now but we should not forget this incident and make this a one time affair as we can ill afford a disaster.

I distinctively looked around in Jurong East Mrt platform yesterday afternoon while waiting.

The smell feels like arid burning mixed with smelly armpits and it’s disgusting. It’s worst then those smokes that kills the blood thirsty mosquitoes.

I did not suspect anything until I found a news about exploding fuel tank in Malaysia, JB. They are fighting the flames that had ignited the 2nd fuel tank. They are possibly still trying hard to douse the flames and blame insufficient fire-fighting material, strong winds and rain.

Many wonders why a huge petrol chemical storage does not have sufficient fire-fighting materials there on standby in case such events happens. This might be a case of negligence but I am not to judge what actually happened.

When someone looks at you funnily holding their nose…tells them it’s the fuel tank fire lah!

This truck seems to be stuck in the center divider and immobile. Shattered window glass is all over the floor and the police is nearby already.

There is no traffic jams in the middle of the night when I witness this aftermath of the accident, I can only presume there is no injuries to the driver as there is no ambulance seen. It’s almost 11.45pm 13th August 2008 when I saw this when I cycle around the neighborhood.

Well, my speculation is the driver is tired or drunk…either way it’s dangerous driving indeed!

Is it a serial Arson? Accidental fire? Deliberate or accident? This will have to wait until the fire department to come and investigate before coming to any conclusion.

I REFER to last Friday’s report, ‘SMRT appeals against $387k penalty’ (March 21), in which the transport operator appealed to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to reduce its fine for an accident which caused delays in its service on Jan 21 this year.

I read with dismay at how the SMRT tried to appeal against the fine by stating what had been done to mitigate the damage caused by the seven-hour delay it had caused earlier this year.

This accident is clearly due to SMRT’s negligence as its workers had failed to engage the proper brakes on the repair train which led to an accident that caused thousands to be late for school and work.

Instead of being forthcoming and paying the penalty, I am disappointed that the SMRT should ask for the fine to be reduced. Being a daily commuter, I fully understand the anguish and frustration when one is late for school or work because of a train disruption.

The agony of watching the clock tick on while waiting for the train to move; or looking at busloads full of people and being unable to board, can be extremely distressing.

I urge the relevant authorities not to consider SMRT’s appeal as such negligence cannot be excused, especially from one of the providers of our ‘world-class transport system’.

Shen Shifa

- SMRT is unfortunately one of the only Train operator in Singapore, LTA should give out more license to new operators to increase more variety of transportation medium to induce competition. If this operator happen to use this fine as excuses to increase fares then the future of average income Singaporean will be really tough.

SINGAPORE: Platform screen doors will be installed at all above—ground MRT stations by 2012, more sheltered linkways and barrier—free access features will also be available to make it more convenient for commuters to get to the train stations, Transport Minister Raymond Lim announced Friday.

Commuter Mohamad Fairoz and his family are all for the proposed enhancements to the train stations, especially the platform screen doors for above—ground stations, which will help cut disruption and prevent mishaps.

“It’s for safety. Sometimes people (are) rushing to go back, so when they rush, they may slip,” he said.

The number of track intrusions has risen from an average of 16 cases a year to about 30 in the past two years.

Platform screen doors will be installed at Yishun, Jurong East and Pasir Ris stations in 2009, before rolling out to the rest.

President and CEO of SMRT Saw Phaik Hwa said, “In the old days, this kind of installation (was) extremely expensive to build and to maintain, but over the years we noticed that the price has plummeted because it’s more widely available.”

By 2010, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will complete its S$60 million programme to improve access to train stations, and 86 per cent of overhead bridges will be covered.

Commuter Leonard Chua welcomed the news. “When it rains, I do not have to be stuck at the bus stop or dash to the MRT station.”

The elderly and less mobile will also be helped. Transport Minister Raymond Lim said the entire bus fleet will be wheelchair—accessible by 2020.

Seventy per cent of train stations will also have at least two barrier—free access routes by the end of 2011.

A total of S$70 million will be spent to build another 17 lifts at 16 MRT stations.

More bicycle parking facilities will also be made available at bus interchanges and train stations from 2009. Starting March this year, the LTA will run a six—month trial to allow cyclists to bring their foldable bicycles onboard buses and trains.

Apart from improving train service, the authorities also want to up the service standards for taxis.

A common call booking telephone service will be set up by July this year to ensure taxis are available via phone booking during peak hours.

The authorities will also promote the use of cleaner and more energy—efficient vehicles, as well as reviewing its Green Vehicle Rebate scheme.

By 2014, all taxis in Singapore will comply with the Euro IV emission standards, and 40 per cent of public buses will have achieved similar emission target by 2010, with the aim of full compliance by 2020

- Sometimes complain is good! My previous articles about MRT being too dangerous (15 August 2007) finally resolved by this!! It’s a great feeling that such complains are being reviewed

There are simply too many accidents and death on the MRT tracks and such doors can almost eliminate such accidents hence less insurance claims too!

TWO MRT stations in the north on tuesday were disrupted following separate reports of a man’s fall onto the tracks.

At 9.43am, the southbound train service between Yew Tee and Woodlands was disrupted when the train driver spotted someone falling onto the tracks at Kranji station, a Singapore Mass Rapid Transit spokesman said.

The authorities could not find anyone after an extensive search of the area.

Normal train services resumed at 10.53am, but within minutes, it was disrupted again when witnesses saw a man fall onto the tracks at the Marsiling MRT station, one stop away from Kranji MRT station.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, lost part of his leg after being hit by the train and was rushed to National University Hospital.

- I had blogged previously on the danger of MRT platform and should follow Japanese’s design of the electronic doors instead of open system. I know it’s going to be expensive but it may save lives and those are priceless.

Another question, where is the body of the first “victim” that had fallen?

Well, according to my own observation over the past few years there had been many cases of fatalities of people falling into the MRT tracks in Singapore. The open concept of the train platform may looks very appealing to many with no obstacles to the beautiful outdoor sceneries but the question is how safe is it to have this design.

Let’s view this objectively. The Japaneses Trains have these doors that protect against accidental falling into the tracks and of course create a more “obstacles” for would be suicidal public.

The problems with insurance claims by their family will be problematic as suicides cannot be claimed if the policy is less then 2 years old (If I am not wrong) and if you don’t die from the “accident” there might be problems with the law!!

So the question of having this barrier might be a good way to reduce the chance of people accidentally falling into the tracks and remove the chance of getting a insurance claims as well.

“How did he fell into the tracks by accident?” – Insurances Company

“He hor…climb over the 1.5 meter electronic fences hor…then accidentally fall into the tracks!! It’s by accident! I swear!” – Family members of the unfortunate “victims”

Well, the problem with upgrading the MRT safety concerns are the possible hike in fare prices….using all the possible upgrades will cost them money. So what can we do? Be prepared for more MRT disruption SOON as we see STI index drop like crazy just now.
