I found out via research that competition is not the only revenue the gamer can make.

If they are pro-gamers they might be interested in things like

1. Game Creation
- Graphics Design
- Programming
- Maya (3D Programming)

2. Mod Community
- Modify games
(eg. Half life into Counterstrike)

3. Selling MMORPG items/credits
- Selling Gold
- Selling Characters
- Selling Rare Items

I ever heard someone bought a house just by harvesting virtual cash in MMORPG game StarWars Galaxies.

4. Virtual Real Estate in "2nd Life"
- A new real cash exchanged for virtual real estate properties in the virtual world is a very profitable biz. What they do is to buy a empty land in 2nd Life, design the buildings and landscape to a high quality standard then sell to companies that are eager to set up a virtual office in 2nd Life.

I remember reading someone making a million in real money doing just that.

Gaming is no longer a time wasting hobby but a multi-million industry hence even a simple game such as "Bejeweled" had made a 26 year old a million dollar businessman.

Not anyone can be a pro cybergamer. You need to put in many hours of practice and teamwork. I don't want to spend my life playing computer games.
