Well I had to buy a PSP USB Cable to made the mod for this PSP 8000 Multi Battery Rechargeable Pack since the original had a small head that does not fit to my PSP Slim port.

The PSP Slim compatible port is 1.1 cm where as the “PSP 8000″ is 0.1 cm shorter!

First you unscrew the back screws total of 4.
Warning: Don’t connect the black(-) and red (+) together as it’s considered shorted and you will feel the battery heat up and if prolonged connected together will melt the wires and might be a fire hazard. If the battery is not charged previously then it’s ok but it’s better safe then sorry.

Cut the original cable and stripped the cable to what is show on the left. Cut the PSP Slim Compatible cable too to about the same length.

Put a shrinker tube in the cable (smallest one), this is to shrink it later to cover the wire after soldering.

Twist and bend accordingly and prepare your soldering iron to do some soldering.

After soldering both the wire together, use the shrink tube to cover the exposed wires and use the soldering iron to heat it to shrink down to fit the wire neatly. Any more expose wires can use black tapes to cover it but of course it’s not recommended for long term usage

Repeat the whole process on the second wire and you are done!
