AsiaOne Forum:

According to the forum thread starter balestierboy:

It took me with a very heavy heart to write this posting.

I live somewhere near Balestier Road and for the past 2-3 years, I’m very upset and disappointed to observe the widespread of sneaky massage parlours in the Balestier area. Despite my numerous tip-offs to Police/Anti-Vice, these parlours are still operating today, as if there is no law in Singapore .

Let me give you an example. There is this massage parlour by the name of “Tian Txxx Nxxx” at 6xx Balestier Road that provides commercial sex to customers. The owner employs many PRCs on social visits and these ladies would wear sexy cheongsums that are low enough to reveal their breasts and so short that the outfit cannot cover their panties effectively. At any time of the day, moaning sounds from sexual intercourse can be heard. Sometimes, these girls can be seen walking in naked when they hop between compartments to service the clients.

On many occasions, I’ve informed the Police/Anti-Vice and although there were raids subsequently, this massage parlour can still operate at the same location. This shop was raided at least 3 times between April and May – the most recent one was on 28 May 2008. However, it is immediately in operation 2 hours later (after the raid) and the business is even better than before as many customers would think it’s safe to visit after a recent raid operation.

All the owner did is to get another batch of PRCs on social visits – not a big issue since thousands of them are visiting Singapore every day. Since these women are on social visits, they are not subjected to health check. Hence, HIV/STD are easily spread to their customers as sometimes, due to competition among the girls, sex could be carried out with any condo/protection at all.

I was wondering why there is no way we can deal with these massage parlours effectively. They are mushrooming in every corner of Singapore . I’ve thought of shifting my house to somewhere else but realized that there is no place in Singapore that is clean anymore. For every place I can think of, there is at least one Tui-Na or Massage Parlour offering hanky-panky services nearby.

I once thought of moving my house and to be the neighbour of our largest Police Station at Cantonment (yeah, Anti-Vice is there as well) but later realized there are so many hookers soliciting in Duxton and nearby areas. There are also even more massage parlours in Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar areas. It was also reported in Sin Ming Daily that there were Chinese gigolos operating in Chinatown .

I have also thought of moving my house to be next to Supreme Court and near Parliament House. That should be safe, I thought. But then, there was illegal Soapy Massage operating in Adelphi – the building just besides the Supreme Court !!!!

- HOLY Mother!! I had never know all these are happening!! Time to check them out…err wait a minute. It’s rather dangerous isn’t it? No, I don’t mean the STD lah! I mean can we just go there…take photos and post on blogs? I guess the maybe they are “protected” by gangs or something. (Image on the right is a legal sex “toys” shop in bugis street)

Wait!!? Raided and remains in operation after 2 hours!!? Holy…something smells fishy. Not accusing anyone…but I think the efficiencies of these operators is way better then our local enforcement……err…security…err..man in black clothes.

I guess the thread starter is pretty pissed off with rampant “illegal” sleazy activities causing much distress to him and his family. Or maybe he is frustrated he is still a “boy” and not yet able to taste the one most satisfying thing that a man can get legally or illegally.

However, I do have similar concerns on spreading of diseases such as STD, HIV, AIDS and etc without proper health checks, enforcement of preventive measures and quality assurance. The police are not here to do all of the above but to catch people engaging in illegal activities “red handed” and also “sizable” offense to warrant a court summon to take actions.

I do notice the thread starter didn’t mention that he is against red light districts but is against the spreading of illegal sex operators operating on pretext of legal business.

The legalizing of RLD (red light districts) near Geylang (only one i know of) is to satisfy some population that doesn’t not have their mates here in Singapore so to reduce more serious crimes such as rapes and sometimes murders. These RLZ (red lights zones) does have license to operate their businesses and conduct strict health checks regularly with 100% requirement to use “protection” to ensure safety of clients from contracting and spreading sexually transmitting diseases.

Maybe, these Massage Parlours have conducted emergency exercises to cover up their “acts” when the police is raiding the location…just in time to prevent any “hot evidences” to be detected.

This drives my imagination wild!!

Possible Emergency Drill SOP for massage Parlours that I can think of…

  1. At least one guy (spotter) with good eyesight near the entrance of the “shop” to spot potential Men in Black(MIB) or Plain Clothes…with Long Range Walkie-Talkie or skype phone for the high tech-ones (HTO) to alert the people inside to destroy any evidence….
  2. These gals had attended professional courses to learn how to put on their clothes in split second covering at least the vital parts…in a flash! Or they have clip on clothes…haa
  3. Toilet bowls to wash away all condoms or evidences…with a well trained jump shot.

Now the weird stuff…that I imagine haha.

  1. Someone from the inside the local authorities is a mole like the movie “Departed” or the HK version “Wu Jian Dao” uses sms to alert the “friendlies”??
  2. Those highly paid MIB goes in gives them lectures on how to apply for license, GST, work permits with tons of “how-to” brochures and guides. These includes corporate taxes FAQ, pricing per service trend analysis….err wait a minute.
  3. MIB goes in and….err…use their services.

Ok, that’s enough of bashing to our dedicated men in black. Maybe they should just widen the RLZ in Geylang to accommodate more “businesses” at the right location to avoid the complains of people with conservative values.

Suggestions are most welcome to be posted as feedbacks to your local ministers instead of posting online for all to see which might ramp up MORE business for these illegal operators by helping them advertise on the web.

Anyway, I wish the thread starter “balestierboy” all the best for his commendable “heroic” whistle blowing on the situations on the front line…our homes.
